if it goes down like 1-2 times Don't ever Click reel just reset you will get the astercad fish which is instantly
if it goes down like 3 or more times you can click on reel it will start on reeling
if the tension bar goes on fullspeed that means you catch the legendary fish

You need culinary level 10 to craft the special bait the blue rarity only need just one and yes you can use any rod

apparently special bait goes back to being able to catch trash too

it is, plus the stupidity of being able to make the material that actually makes it instead of having to buy it requires doubling the level you're at to get the bait recipe itself

on the Sea water area in asteria plains i can confirm that i get the fish instantly in 3-4 dip but on Asterleeds fishing spot its literally 3 to reel

i fished in asterleeds and managed to get the lantern puffer, but then had leftover bait and went to try and get more to get more achievements and ended up with nothing from freshwater fishing
used 28 bait and only 1 gave me a mythic

4-5 dips and the tension is crazy hard thats how you know its the lantern puffer. If you know its too easy cancel and try again.

this took significantly more effort than i expected. Only let a 5 dip bite, and press escape key if too easy. Took me a couple hours to get one, but it did work.
