I mean of course, if you prefer playing that, go for it. Personally I didn't like icicle because watching the snowflake count was stealing my attention too much.

Maybe I just suck at multitasking, but it was hard to watch out for boss attacks/mechs.

Nevermind. The posts I saw saying Falcon was good dps were too old. The balance patch made it too strong (in devs' eyes) and then they nerfed it again to make it worse than before balance patch.

Like not less dps than before, but other classes kept their buffs, so now it's the bottom dps.

U can most likely clear everything without issues. Just if you compare your dmg to others you will be behind a lot at start and slightly behind lategame
