How to Play PC Chinese Star Resonance - Guide

Step 1 - Creating a WeChat Account

  From Personal experience, do not download WeChat from your app store. Download it from the official Chinese website https://weixin.qq.com
  This should help you bypass the account verification that you need on the app store version. You may still use your own number.
  If you are still getting the peer-to-peer verification prompt then here is list of potential ways you can get past it.

     - Turn off Wifi and Turn it Back on
     - Turn on Airplane mode temporarily
     - Obtain a mobile VPN https://blokada.org recommended. Any should do (Turning off the VPN is also Viable)

Step 2 - Obtaining a VPN

  Hopefully, you actually have a WeChat account now without the peer-to-peer verification process crippling you.
  VPN's seem to vary per user, but I will include a list of both free and paid VPN's that work here.

Step 3 - Obtaining the game itself

  https://www.wegame.com.cn/home Download the WeGame Launcher here and then go ahead and download the game once you have access to the Launcher.
  No VPN is needed for this part, but if you feel like you need added security, go ahead and use one. Your download might be slowed by the VPN though.

  Once you have downloaded the game, go ahead and start up your VPN of your choice and launch the game. You should be able to play now!
  
  __**Step 4 - Tencent Health Check**__

  While playing (or waiting to play), you will eventually get hit by this system. It is a system to make sure you are not a minor. In order to pass this system, you need
  to have a Chinese ID or a Passport. If you use a Passport, it will take some time to verify, and you might even have to resubmit a few times. If you have a Chinese ID
  you may enter the game immediately and continue playing carefree.

  __**Step 5 - Translation of the game**__

  https://github.com/killkimno/MORT This very handy tool is an On-Screen Translator that will live translate Chinese text to English if configured properly.
  It is not the fastest so don't expect fast translations of text like from Cutscenes or Dialogues.

  Be sure to experiment as translation experience can vary based on your hardware.

     https://www.gaminik.net faster than M.O.R.T out of box but is paid after a trial.
