So im on some website to download firmware for my iPod because i'm trying to reformat it to fat32, and i cant tell the diference between these 2. any help?

there are 3 low level versions of the 5th gen:
Initial - firmware identifier 13
RevA - fw 20
and the so called 5.5 - 25
All versions ended on general version 1.3
I am not sure how to tell apart original and revA montherboards, both probably are marked the same: 820-1763-A code.
5.5gen has for sure a different motherboard: 820-1975-A (both are available with smaller 32 and bigger 64GB ram chip).
So the easiest would be just to try with both 13 and 20 with 20 being the most common version for 5g
