been modding up an ipod recently and it's all working and whatever but from the start whenever i've put in headphones if i plug them fully in then audio is only heard through one ear

if i don't plug it in all the way I can hear through both ears fine and it seems great, but it's pretty finnicky and moving the ipod at all jostles that connection and it falls out

i've fully replaced the headphone jack but to no avail the same issue is present :( anyone had a similar issue?

I think I've maybe discovered the reason is actually just this bit

if I press down on it it works well

my only idea of a solution is having some way of this being pressed down while the case is closed but that feels like a poor option

specifically the black bit of the connector

i think maybe i've broken a pin in the connector in my amateur attempts to mod this

is that something that can be replaced or is a gg get a new logic board issue
