After having to open my ipod again, I accidentally ripped out the battery connector. Is this repairable or should I just use the spare board I have on hand?

In fact it is not really bad.
For starters you can just put it back on the pins - as ground plane is duplicated it might even work without soldering of the broken off pin. But it would be nice to solder the pin back at least a little.

Well that's good to know. Unfortunately I do not know how to solder at all

If there are any phone/mobile repair shops nearby they should be able to fix it.

I had the same thing happen to me and got it repaired for $50. Not super cheap but less expensive than getting a new logic board
