#Ipod only reading 127GB while using a 512GB card

the thing that does not make sense is ive seen other ipods past the 512Gb and resote easy as cake
127GB (128 in fact) suggests this is in fact ipod classic gen 6 (firmware 1.x.x, not 2.x.x) + typical outer shell signs like bigger (compared to 7g) HDD size icon on the back of the original case.
I am not sure what you mean by the last sentence: it is not showing at all (even in partition manager in Windows) or that it disappears after you do reformat.
I used the iflash website to lookup which gen which was mine (https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-compatibility/) and due to the model that I have it uses the LBA28 software which limits it at 128GB. So, I think my only option is to use the rockbox OS and hope that it will see the full 512GB. What I was trying to say in the last sentence that when I take out the SDXC card out from the ipod/Iflash board and try to format the card my windows pc do not recognize the card and just makes the sound that a usb has been inserted. When I take it to a older macbook it recognizes the card .
The iFlash adapters will work with the following iPod models. Please check your model against this list before ordering. The model number can be found via several methods :- iTunes will display the model in the about iPod screen iPod diagnostics mode will show the model no.
For the first issue you can use rockbox or.... using the rockbox hack to modify the ipod to upload 6.5/7Gen firmware to it to make it work like the latest gen and the load the OT firmware onto it.
For the card issue: I suppose you just have to repartition it as you have created mac formatted ipod structure on it that Windows cannot read without extra tools.
