it rarely boots into firmware it mostly gives sad face
when it booted up once, i tried my headphones and a music on it and it worked fine until i did reboot
writing on it fully works so i don't think it is a hardware problem

also while trying to go to disk mode it sometimes gives Connect to itunes instead of disk mode

and sometimes it fails to write the firmware completely, right now firmware files are loaded and working but the ipod fails to boot

changed the ribbon cable, same issue

and this one's the original ribbon cable which was working completely fine while the hdd was alive

after switching the ribbon cable now it freezes itunes completely (i tried both ribbon cables)

i've done a stupid mistake and now i think the solution is even harder

i overwrote mbr

#

now it doesnt even get detected

it gets detected by itunes but it will give error 1437
