Uninstall iTunes and install proper older revision - valid especially for Windows.
tried multiple versions it didn't work
OK, and what happens if you just uninstall itunes totally?
it gets uninstalled and when i redownloaded it same thing happens
Windows or OSX?
for windows: remove whateven you have installed now and get fresh install from apple:
In Windows: I'd just remove whatever you have installed and the download directly from Apple https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64
im on windows
i did this but the same message popps up
the "the software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. do you want iTunes to try and repair this for you?" message
