For more details it's done this for mouths I've tried resetting it replacing the battery it won't even go into disk mode

Given that buttonsand the lock switch are OK - if ipod refuses to go into any kind of diag/dfu/disk modes - you might have motherboard issue. This might require swap of the motherboard, as repairing this is still not money effective solution.
