ITunes not accepting mp3 files | iPod | Page 1

Sorry I know this isn't directly an ipod issue but I don't know where else to ask.

My iTunes is being selective with what MP3s I can add, mp3s from bandcamp, or youtube video converter files are fine. But when I try to add mp3s from Soulseekq, a file sharing software, iTunes does not add those files, be it I drag and drop or use the the function to add albums from the top left.

I've tried converting them to m4a files but that strips them of the metadata and dumps them all into the "unknown album" album,

I've also read it might be a tag issue but I have no clue what that's about.

Just want to know if anyone has an idea how I could navigate this issue.

Weird, i think apple doesnt like mp3 s at all

Do you know of a good converter that doesn't strip the metadata?

Admittedly I just tried to use VLC to convert it so many that was my bad

You can try media human or the one built into macOS.

Always make backups of the original file.

I ended up downloading foober, I'd try the Mac compressor thing if I had a MacBook but unfortunately I don't.

And for sure I def have the originals in their own folder.
