stop using Apple Devices

download iTunes from Apple's website use the installer not the Windows Store version

and if it leaves DFU because it's downloading the software, download the software off ipsw.me and then hold Shift while clicking Restore to pick a file from your storage

the reason for this being that it doesn't work with older devices. it was written for stuff like the really new iPhones and might behave unexpectedly with an iPod
