my ipod classic (orignal 30 gb 5.5 ) that i flash moded o 256gb and gave a 3000mah battery goes nto a boot loop after trying to sync anything past 25k songs

even though none of the songs are corrupt none share the same file and im not trying to use shuffle (i have it hidden from menus to prvent any ram problems) and i dont have rock box installed as i dont think its neccisary

im more of looking for help and or a recomendation for any hardware changes needed wether its to an iflash duo or a solo and not to an m.2ssd

30gb boards don't have the ram for more than 25k I think

because they're only 32mb

I believe that’s for the shuffle feature but it should be able to handle the 25k songs without a problem

suggests that 30GB models (with 32MB of RAM) limits out just over 20k songs. It is the 60/80GB models that have 64MB memory ram chip and can survive 50k tracks.

Memory is important as the full database loads into memory to allow UI to work fast.

graceful thistle I believe that’s for the shuffle feature but it should be able to handle the 25k...

Shuffle pushes the limits but I think even without shuffling the limits are still there cause it tries to hold the db in ram
