I'm installing a new clickwheel into a fully modded ipod and it... kind of works? The scroll wheel, center, left and right buttons work, but not the top and the bottom buttons. I've tried reseating, and it's a brand new part from EOE, so I dont think it'd come defective. What should I try? (for context, using a 5th gen thinback)

alright so it turns out, defective clickwheel :/
had a genuine scare my logic board was fucked
imma contact eoe and see if i can get a replacement or refund or smn
tho tbh? im really liking how the default clickwheel contrasts w the rainbow faceplate

imma close the form now, but i'll leave this info up if anyone runs into the same issue as me
tl;dr if some buttons work but others dont, check the contacts, check the clickwheel's grounding tab, and compare results with the default clickwheel
in my experience, it was a faulty clickwheel
