Hi all,
I'm attempting to sync an iPod classic 2nd gen using a firewire pcie card on windows. Installing and using iTunes 12.9.1.4 the iPod shows up and syncs fine, although iTunes is slow and unresponsive during the process. I've tried a few more recent versions of iTunes, and each time the iPod is detected and shows up in Windows fine, but not iTunes. Has anyone got the latest iTunes to work?

I suppose this is issue inside iTunes with firewire subsystem in Windows. I do not suppose you can do much about it apart from switching to Macintosh machine and software in older mac (like mini 2014).

Yeah, the thing I don't understand is that the older iTunes does work. I'll play around with some different VMs to see if I can narrow it down

there is nonzero chance that they have removed firewire ipods support in newer itunes.

that would make sense. Know of any good ways of downloading older versions of iTunes? Atm I'm just finding random links on google
