I recently flash-modded an iPod 3g with an 8gb CF card and a CF adapter from ebay. After the mod I plugged it into my Windows 10 machine and formatted it fat32. iTunes recognized it and asked to restore, and everything with that went smoothly. After that, when plugging it back in to my PC to sync, it didn't show up in iTunes. I've tried it on 2 Windows 10 PC's with 2 different cables and have formatted it fat32 twice. I really need help with this. Thanks!

Did the iPod say "Do not disconnect?" If not, try booting it into disk mode. Boot it into disk mode by flicking the hold on/off. Then, press and hold the play/pause and menu button until the iPod restarts. When the Apple logo appears, release the buttons and press and hold the previous and next buttons. Hold them until the Disk Mode screen appears. Then plug the iPod into a PC.
This will also work even if it did say "Do not disconnect"

You could also try reformatting the card and/or iPod if this didn't work.

I fixed it, it was surprisingly the battery!
