I bought a iphone 3gs universal dock from a value village for 2 CAD, and was wondering is a ipod touch 4th gen will fit on the dock.

If you're talking about the A1153 dock, then yes. I have had an ipod touch 4g in mine before. I just leave the adapter plates off. The ipod will shake a lot if you try to touch the screen while its in the dock if you don't have the correct shape plate installed.
