Hi there, after discovering my iPod 6th gen again I wanted to try rockbox again, all goes fine until after the DSU transfer, the rockbox installer doesn't see the mount of the iPod anymore and windows says: "You need to format the disk in drive G: before you can use it." This is the 192 MB partition and I'm not sure if it's safe to format this partition and I couldn't find anything about it online. What should I do? Is it safe to format the G drive?

If you’ve got any music you want to keep backed up, you can just format the whole iPod drive. I usually format the whole thing and let rb installer go at it

My process: format the whole thing. Reboot/reconnect as necessary to get iTunes to recognize it. Restore w iTunes. Launch rb installer. Run that. Boom, dual boot.

thank you! I just tried it through macOS and that seemed to work! I believe the issue was that the main partition (where the music is stored) is called G, but after it reboots the letter changes to I and instead the small 192MB partition gets named G.
