i turn the ipod off by holding the home and power button

#

i let go then the thing wakes up without me pressing any buttons

i still tried tho by doing the same turning off thing then pressing the same buttons again to try to get the screen to flash and go dark

but the thing is reluctant to work with me

#

it just goes back to the same screen
