i just loaded up my ipod with all m4a files, and if i try to play any of them it just skips to the next song and doesnt stop since theyre all m4a's, had no problem with playing mp3's

iflash 4 way sd reader but im only using 1 128gb sd card atm

ive had a similar issue before which was fixed by reseating the flash mod and sdcard, just tried that and no dice

And by m4a, are these ALAC or AAC files?

The iPod should play either kind but I'm curious

its also lagging majourly now, like it will freeze when scrolling through the menu

What brand SD card are you using? Have you tried another card?
