I tried flash moding my 5 gen classic and now it shows dead drive logo. I've tried several sd to cf and cf to zif converters and nothing works. I am using a 128 gigabyte micro sd card that I know works, and a 3000 mah battery. HELP!

You have the green board installed the wrong way around.

It should be installed so that the red card is facing the ipod logic board.

I tried both of the boards backwards and still nothing. I tried putting the old hard drive back in it and it connects to iTunes, but says there is an error when I try to restore it.

When you put the old drive in, does it show the capacity of the drive in disk management?

As in, plug the old drive in and then connect it to the computer, then open disk management and see if the drive is detected.

The drive shows up but when clicked on says, error G:\ is not accessible Incorrect function
