When I logged in today, I was in Serbule and the game was extremely laggy and running poorly. The game eventually crashed, and then when I relaunched it, I got stuck in the loading screen. I had to end the game with the task manager, and then my entire computer was extremely laggy until I restarted my PC. My computer's fans were also running at max speed during this time. I think the game's new update has some kind of memory problem.

I am getting about 25 frames and stuttering in Serbule myself. Everywhere else I get 130+ frames. This only started for me after the last large patch this week

Yup, the performance is terrible after last patches, stuttering is crazy. Did devs say anything about it or at least acknowledged issues?
I canceled my subscription until everything gets resolved

Not that I've seen in any of the announcement channels, but I also don't think the admins engage too much in this channel. Best to put an in game bug report if you all haven't done that already, might get more eyes on the issue I guess.

Torches make a lot of sense I think. However temp throttling never seemed to be an issue for me, so I never mentioned it in my post. I can record some temps in different places later tonight if you're curious!

As a work around waiting for better you can set shadow distance to 0 and reduce grass density and distance a lot in graphic settings.
