I run up to an npc and tho they are fully rendered, it takes a solid 2-4 seconds before my cursor shows them as being an interactable object in the game world. This happens 100% of the time with NPCs and doors. This started happening with the last patch. It does not seem to be zone-specific, and as far as I can tell does not apply to harvestable items or ground drop loot.
#Delays in being able to interact with items/NPCs in the world (nameplate Lag)

Just bumping to add this is not related to the "must move closer to object" that is caused by desync
can confirm i also have this. VERY annoying opening stathelem house doors etc
trying to guage what objects its affecting, torches for example are not experiencing this, they load in fron a distance and are immediately clickable
transfer chests too
transfer chests are laggy or behaving normally?
nameplate lag
Delays in being able to interact with items/NPCs in the world (nameplate Lag)
So this is def better after todays patch but I still feel it in serbule
Same here
This seems to happen across the world for me with any interactable. They can still be targeted with hotkey target but the interact key does nothing until the nameplate renders for the interactable
Still happening, seems to happen more in high load areas like serbule or egg runs. Im thinking this is because of some kind of lag when sending all the interactable data to the client or rendering that data.
Try restarting client completely if its real bad, that seems to help me some
Yeah it may have been some sort of optimization they did. It makes intetactibles in town feel super laggy....I'm hoping there may be a way to prioritize loading these type of objects over player nameplates
There is a setting you can enable to 100% fix this issue that I just noticed... has this been here the whole time?
Maybe all the change was, was they changed the default to a lower number lol
Confirmed mine is set to max 1000 still experiencing this issue in serb
and its only with certain objects
Nameplates settings don't help
I havent noticed a difference either, but the "close the game completely and restart" method seems to work best for me.
