#Can't interact with npcs and objects directly in front of me...constantly.

Ever since the patch i am in a constant state of sitting on top of an npc or an interactable and waiting anywhere from 2 to 7 15 seconds to be able to interact with it. It's constant, it happens everywhere, and it FEELS buggy.

I know that this system got reworked for performance reasons but it feels really really broken right now.

There is another sub-issue of this where your camera position causes the nameplates on certain things to be hidden and that prevents interacting with them, and combined with this new problem it's making for a very very unpleasant time.

I don't know if it needs some extra logic to re-prioritize while players move around or what but all of this nameplate stuff is driving me insane.

Seeing this issue too, tried the developer-suggested tweaks and combinations of them and none of worked.

I think this is related - had this "error: you must get closer" bug before the update a few times, and I think the patch tried to fix it, but it's back again.

Rather than about being closer, it's similar to when you can't use an interactable because it's stuck inside another object, like a grave in a tree.
There is no nameplate above the NPC for a period as denoted in the post and, while you can select them, you cannot interact.

ya, not being able to see nameplates for a bit of time is meh 🙂

but seriously I might have nightmares about waiting for statehelm doors to become interactable when approached. I suspect it will be similar to trying to flee someone trying to kill me while stuck knee deep in mud (ratkin killers and I will be the tiny bat in the big hat stuck halfway in the floor and defenseless)
