#Better item drop design would be nice.

Having items like this is really weird and annoying, i figure item drops are based on the currently equiped primary/secondary weapons but why is it dropping knuckles a unarmed weapon with archery/knife skills. Shouldn't it be instead dropping knives/bows with these stats?

Items will drop mods based on whatever skills you have on (usually) but that’s not going to curate what drops you get. This is a good thing anyway since you’ll need many maaaany different kinds of items to gift npcs, it would be really awkward if you had to make a whole other build for swords to drop to favor up npcs that want those after all, and had to do the same for any that want to be gifted certain kinds of equipment

As said above we NEED the variety. Some NPCs only buy x weapons. Statehelm is costing me 1m a pop fyi.
Let alone favor. Pelagast likes dirks.
Mushroom jack really really loves wizard mushrooms more then the others for some reason. We need variety.

Those items make your excellent mod removal.

yeah you will get more bow and knife with those skills but there's always a few of these rare equips its only a red tough just sell it or favor it

The drop system doesn’t exclude item bases. Drops will favor the skills you have equipped usually, but it will stop skill mods from rolling on things that skill would be unusable with.

I.e staff mods on a sword, both being main-hand weapons.

But it only checks this on an individual basis, not taking into account the combination of skills on a given item.

This is all IIRC
