This is the one area in the game that an innocent player or a purposely trolling player can have a negative effect on your play for hours. Coming out of the poetry jam with 19% increased experience for 7 hours only to have it lowered quickly down below 8% percent because you went to the storage bookcase by the Surbule well a half hour later is quite upsetting.

yeah 1 newbie in 5 minutes of afk and boom your 8h buff of 50% xp is now 20% xd
But it also takes too long to explain so it's better to just run from newbies playing music after jam.

This would be fantastic. A whole group of people lost their jam buff when someone went afk next to the egg run npc while playimg a lute. It's a bit frustrating.

There's a workaround for that in the meantime: leave Serbule by the north exit, circle wide around town, and talk to Charles in his tent. If you've unlocked his storage, you can access all the storage in the zone through him, and he's far enough away from the well.
Ivyn's chest might work too if you have that, never tried it.
