When lighting lamps (at night), I usually get 20 xp. However, if I come up to a lamp with zero oil and quickly click add oil then turn on, I get the 2 xp from adding oil but not the 20 for turning it on. This is not just a missing XP popup, the experience is not gained at all by watching the skill pane. This happens maybe half the time.

also not sure of this, but does that goto the first person who does those? so i can't follow someone, turn them off then back on to get the xp?

only goes to the first person that turns them on/off after 7PM/5AM. when it was lit/snuffed before the right time you no longer get xp when you light/sniff it after the right time. some people deliberitly let them burn to use up the oil and get xp by refilling them.

the other is joining them community events like forget what it's called when we zerg the dungeons and we get portals in serbule to each of those dungeson?

only other event that comes to mind is the one we also zerg bosses in the open world. think the first one is serbule docks? then we go other places?

world boss event. that doesn´t give civic pride xp and the golf is pennocs pennant which happens next month. also doesn´t give civic pride xp

I've seen this bug a lot before, where adding oil and then lighting too quickly causes you to lose the 20xp (until 5am when you turn it off). Even waiting for a couple of seconds to light doesn't always work. It can also happen with foraging - at least in Serbule - when you pick the last apple or grape and then harvest lumber. You'll get xp for the fruit, but none for the wood, even though it gets added to your inventory.

that is not because of the refilling but because someone turned on the light during the day. that cancels the xp gain when lighting it after 7PM
