Steward is a fine core caster, helps with dealing with drones later on in main story as well. For snipers you can look at Kroos or her alter obtainable from the Invitation to Wine side story. Beeswax is a Phalanx caster and is more difficult to use in the average case/apply to the average stage (she might also be bad value for investment, i'm not into meta much)
