discord is so ugly & lazy with their ui that stuff like forums & threads, things that would actually diversify communication in the current communication monopoly (whose current communication features are terrible, including the puzzling clusterfuck of how role hierarchy & permissions work) are just going to be forgotten in one week

this is just slightly nuanced threads because you dont even have any sort of document software-like text or photo editing that guilded has, its been 6 years of this apps existence and you still need a grocery list of photos because apparently the text editing features need to be as good as IRC

forums and apps with instant messaging dont mesh i guess, it seems like a cool idea but it needs more than this to be effective
it feels like slightly nuanced threads and they seem to be treated the same way
only if announcement, text, voice chat, threads, and forum channels didnt recycle the same 6-year old ui
guilded's looks somewhat good and, you know, is formatted like an actual forum
