Just use alt tab? I don't think that "overlay" is of any actual use.

It's not? Thought...and maybe am wrong ...but doesn't the overlay then show where your character is b relation to the item map?

If you are talking about that "overwolf" overlay, then it's trash. Also reading comments it seems to have stopped working few years back, unless you found some updated version.

Simply run game windowed borderless and you can tab out to map in a browser instantly.
