Have you verified in volume mixer that the sound level remained non-zero?
Any chance you have a controller plugged in as well?
Might need to select audio device in the game settings.
Not sure then, has nothing helpful come up from a Google search?
Or maybe from older threads from this server.
should just be a windows settings
check the speaker icon in your system tray on the bottom right
right click > sounds
under the playback tab what is your default device?
set it to either your headphones or speakers.
