i bought the game on steam today, and it wont launch. i've been looking for like 2 hours and cant find anything that solves it

both of them, yes. i've tried to play gta online just to see if that was the problem and that all worked

the game itself seems to be running in the background, atleast, thats what it looked like hwhen viewing task manager

when you're looking at the Rockstar Launcher does it launch and a window pop up and it immediately goes to quitting?

no, nothing opens. it just runs in the background while my rockstar launcher tells me its running

it also adds to ym playtime on steam. even tho the game is not open

do you happen to have an integrated graphics card

you might have to disable it... red dead might be thinking that is the main GPU

i currently only have one monitor connected, i do have another which i used as a second one, but that has been off for ages

Can you force Vulkan API via launch options and then try playing?

sgadriver=Vulkan is the command line argument.
