So recently I found out that the oculus software does not work without a wifi adapter/wireless connection EVEN WHEN TRYING TO USE IT WIRED and it doesnt even let me start the app without a wifi connection, basically forcing me to get a wifi dongle. How do I know this is true? the software works on my laptop with wifi, but not on ethernet. I have tried every possibility under the sun to get it working but it just. doesn't. let. me. It gets the checking status of oculus app then after a minute gives me the good old bird with a "couldnt reach oculus service" error. If anyone has a fix I would be SO happy.
