IT IS DONE....my first-ever 2v3 and it's 100% Kalos on-type 12.5k, of course!
R1 (Dark-weak) - Will handed me this win by being dark-weak. The frogs frogged, nothing else to say!
R2 (Fairy-weak) - Kali came in clutch here with her defensive buffs and Panic Button, plus the special buffs and theme skills boosts for Diantha. Took a few resets but wasn't that bad overall!
R3 (Ground-weak) - Had to shuffle a few supports in and out here; tried Evelyn for defensive buffs but nothing was saving Zerena from Koga's sync. Blemont saved the day by dumping Koga's defense to -6 and allowing Zerena to pre-sync him off the field before he swept her
R4 (Rock-weak) - sorry Karen. first try pre-sync. Nita gave some much-needed attack buffs to ensure Diantha was at max power when she synced with the reduced countdown
R5 (Electric-weak) - this spunky little duo, my goodness. I had my doubts about Clemont but Shauna came through and debuffed Lance so bad that they managed to do it!

Another week of duos, and far easier than the last! All of these except the last battle were first attempts, which was nice
R1 (Psychic-weak) - Kali continuing to bully Bruno, this time with Olympia; she wants SpAtk and defence buffs, so Kali was the perfect choice! Took Bruno down with ease, I might try a solo with her tbh
R2 (Dark-weak) -
R3 (Fighting-weak) - Evelyn gives Diantha's defensive stats a boost for her sync, and...that's about it she needs to learn to share the gauge though
R4 (Flying-weak) - Lysandre got to stand side-by-side with the Professor, I'm crying I'm so happy for them-
R5 (Dragon-weak) - Wanted to do this since Drasna dropped; you may be thinking, but Tai, what about the gauge?? BUT! Drasna ignores the gauge! She also makes for a rather nice tank, I must say, and the Draco Meteor + Core Enforcer combo was a lot of fun (especially once you charge up enough gauge to actually use the latter ). Finally got to use Drasna's theme as background music 😭

Besties...it's a special time of year, when I allow myself to use pairs that aren't from Kalos in CSMM....only rule today was I had to use all three of the Kalosian fire pairs, which I did
R1 - LCalem's burn chance ain't great and he wants it for his multipliers, hence why he was up first on the Increased Status Chance round. The Heat Wave DPS was more impressive than I expected and they got it done in one attempt, which was nice! SC Lillie remains an excellent little support.
R2 - Stat debuffing time! This team was a bit messy on the field but they managed to make it work; I don't have too many premium SpAtk buffing supports so LAdaman has been a great choice of investment. Shout out to Serena being left to fight the final 'mon by herself on very little health, only to put them to sleep so she could sweep SC Shauna got poisoned early in the match and I didn't bother restarting, so if that didn't happen it would have been much easier.
R3 - My old Fire-weak go-tos the lack of defensive buffs didn't exactly do them any favours, but Silver was still able to pre-sync Molayne and get rid of the sides before they could do any decent damage.
R4 - Let's hope you don't freeze up! MA'AM I HATE YOU! Goddamn! She really took all those 'Glacia shit!' memes to heart because her CS stages are a NIGHTMARE!!! SSA and SCS pumped so many goddamn buffs into Irida but without any SpDef support they were constantly getting swept by those godforsaken Ice AOEs! We eventually got lucky and managed to win but not before I learned the hard way that that Eiscue has Endure on its first form pain and agony
R5 - aaaand this round was immensely anticlimatic after the stress of R4, LySS and the frogs just annihilated Red even under hail. Heat Wave DPS coming through once again adieu to you

actually round 1 parameter doesn't increase Calem's chances of landing a burn

it increases the effectiveness of status conditions. they deal more damage (burn, poison, trap once they're applied), last longer (sleep, freeze, flinch), and more likely to occur (paralysis and confusion procs)

if you want calem to land his burn more reliably you have to use the "additional effects of moves are more likely to occur" param

Finally, it is time...to use the Kalos to defeat the Kalos

R1 (Electric-weak): Siebold's physical sync and this team's total of 0 Defence buffs meant pre-syncing was absolutely critical for victory, but even with his guaranteed crit on TM Clemont wasn't quite managing it without a few team modifications, focused on Palrena. She's an amazing partner for him (love those Kekwalk-enabling Speed debuffs!) but especially here since her Stun Spore deactivates Sieb's Healthy Advantage. Ended up slapping together a wacky DPS-focused grid on her running Paralysis Synergy 5 and Overpower to get her shaving HP off the centre so Clemont's nuke could wipe it + her LS is Mind Games 2. I've also gridded Sycamore for Adrenaline so I was able to get two syncs in before Sieb managed his
R2 (Fire-weak): Very straightforward one-attempt pre-sync; Lalem's sync wiped the sides and he and LySS were able to take out the centre right before it synced. Was surprised by how well the gauge coped, was expecting it to be awful!
R3 (Rock-weak): Naturally SCDia was hard-carrying but I'm not 100% happy with how this battle went - I wanted Evelyn for this stage (for the quick SpDef buffs for Scholar's Sync, and Dana was locked in for R4) and she probably wasn't necessary for LySS and Lalem...but I just love actually making use of Fire Teamwork....anyway! Malva opening with Flare Blitz and almost sweeping poor SChauna off the field (who was just there to get SCDia's crit maxed fast) was...something! Okay queen go OFF! Thankfully SChauna has Endure on entry (thanks to her grid) but WHEW! Hopefully Malva will hit that hard when she's definitely added next month.
R4 (Ice-weak): The DREAD I was feeling before this stage....absolutely hilarious to watch the lounge meme about an Ice-weak stage when SOME of us are using 3* gen pools...HOWEVER! Idk if Drasna was just having a bad day but Wulfric QQ'd her off the field and managed this stage in one single attempt! Thank you Dana for that Ice Teamwork! Didn't even have to play with grids or do anything fancy, the unstoppable avalanche was too much!!
R5 (Flying-weak): Diantha sweetie I'm sorry...feels insulting to clear her with Lysandre but it was too hard to resist those Downside-Up presents at the start we love free buffs! Kali stepped in for Sycamore and did a great job, as usual (having Defence buffs helped a lot) and Lerena was there because TINY BIRB AND YVETAL theme skill boosts and 1-gauge move to keep things rolling!

R4 (Dark-week) - Malva sweetie I'm so sorry, I can't believe I defeated you with your boss and his stupid boyfriend....Frog™️ was there too but I held Chalem back just in case, because....
R5 (Steel-weak) - ....looking at Diantha's constant Defence buffs made me worried for Chadstrom, BUT! Again, I underestimated him and his buddies! R3 (Fairy-weak) - I could have gone for the triple Diantha BUT, it was only fair I try out BP Valerie on our first Fairy-weak round! and she did good! Needed to swap base Shauna for mystery Shauna since I needed to shave some offence off Drasna to survive her sync ( we love a good post-sync clear), but overall BP Val performed very well. Not sure if I'll be permanently benching Diantha just yet though
R4 (Electric-week) - this goddamn stage. Clearing elec-weak Sieb without a single Def buff requires 2 syncs before he manages one, so my queuing needed to be on POINT here (plus Sycamore has Adren 1 to make up for his QQ cancelling passives). I know a lot of these are overkill for the Serious LGers but I'm getting more comfortable with duos and depending on eggmons

I'm now out of invested on-typers so I'll either have to invest in others or roll out my Big Stupid limiteds

Nice, eggmons can be great for stretching out rosters even if you're not going for leaderboard
