LG12 was so much fun and I didn't expect to do as many solos and duos this time, especially in a rotation with Uxie in it. December has been hectic due to uni finals and my plans with friends, not to mention the Christmas holidays, and while at first I only wanted to break 69, I'm so glad I could pull through I've always wanted to reach 100 clears and I honestly didn't even think I could reach it this LG season until this morning. While I'm not proud of how overkill some of the final teams turned out because I was rushing, I'm still very proud of my progress overall

The toughest part is hands down second half of bar 1. The syncs and fire punch start to hurt a lot, I find myself having to potion once every sync cycle (on average it takes 5 sync buffs to reach half bar 1 and 4 more to finish it). So pray for all the potion MPRs under the sun. Azelf is so nasty because fire punch and ice punch can status while zen headbutt can flinch. Who greenlit this kit?

Bar 2 was pretty easy as long as you don't finish bar 1 at very low health. First half of bar 3 was where I used both of my bmoves, but by the second half I wasn't doing much. My damage was carried by 12 or so sync buffs. Getting one or two potions here will help

There's still the Anni N and Lodge Serena solos vs Coba I'm looking at, but I think I'm gonna start duoing from now

I'm interested in Clemont vs Azelf too but we'll see

There are a couple of Latios solos I'm doing for sure but that's as far as I can go with solos. Anni N is just not cooperating

I think you need to freeze Azelf at least once so Roxanne can survive a bit longer. EX stats greatly helped Lusamine survive because I didn't have time to Wide Guard the Swift before Roxanne died. Lusamine has to dodge the moves on half bar 1 (that, or you just get a lot of Unyielding procs)

I MADE IT..... But it's not very clean. By bar 3 I ran out of gauges and couldn't spam sleep powder reliably, so I just spammed vine whip for sync countdown so Katherine could nuke the whole thing

Katherine's fast track 9 is really helpful for sleepchain yes, but MGR9 on sweet scent doesn't proc anymore if Azelf is at -6 eva

Not to mention sometimes Azelf decides to be a little shit and wakes up a bit too late and flamethrowers me in the face

Win 80! Rather proud of this one, although it still took me a few tries (at least I don't panic now). Azelf seems to want to wake up immediately during full and half bar transitions. 1/5 VElio with fast track, 5* and max affinity exeggutor (also with fast track for no reason). Tanked with Elio because I got tired of my sleeper being fire weak

Oh this was so fun and satisfying and, surprisingly, first try? I think I synced with Blue twice for the sync buffs, while debuffing Cobalion's defense, before starting (trying to) freeze Cobalion and nuke half bars. I failed to estimate the damage and on bars 2 and 3 couldn't fully bar skip, but it was fine and at the end Coba only got to Lessen Freeze 6

I've finally used all 6 Blues this LG (which is always the goal)

The Legendary "blue" Gauntlet. The Legendary "all 3 debuff your defenses in some way" gauntlet. The Legendary "ugh everything is too overkill for Latios" Gauntlet. DeNA is a demon for giving us like, 5 days of prep time. That, on top of being smack dab in the middle of Chinese New Year, and ending right before Pokémon Masters Day or any potential datamine, makes this a bit annoying.

I was rushing my streaks during the first 2 weeks or so because I knew I would be very busy in the last week. So I won't lie, at some point I did burn out a bit. Azelf hitting like a truck and destroying most tanks was a big factor, but also, planning for Latios was a big headache. I ended up having to move quite a bit of units from Cobalion to Azelf and then to Latios

I probably could have squeezed out a few more clears, but I'm content to end at a nice number like this (can't spiral again, you know? I've done that way too many times). I broke my old personal best, which is always my goal

Big thanks to @shadow burrow whose teams I stole and referenced very often and all the LG madlads whose amazing teams I spotted in the LG chat. Special thanks this time to @hard grotto for being way too patient with me and my skill issues. I have both of you to thank for helping me learn proper sleep chain!

Overall I think it's a rather beginner-friendly LG! I do wish we had more time to plan, though. Bring back LG in the second half of the month so we can look at datamine and rush lodge units, please.

Most fun solo: CHAMPION NATE ON LATIOS LET'S GO BABY it was easy and quick, only took me 2 tries,
Least fun solo: A tie between Champion Calem on Azelf or SSA Cynthia on Azelf pain and suffering all around. I presented CCalem with a damn CAKE just to make the solo a bit more bearable.
Diamond in the rough unit: Blaine! This was my first time trying nuker Blaine. Holy shit
Most disappointing unit: Guzma I knew there was a reason why I ended up not using Guzma at all the last time Azelf was in LG
Most fun duo: Lodge Blue + Lodge Silver on Cobalion! My two favorite rivals it was also a pretty comfortable run. Just get lucky and land your freezes.
Least fun duo: Tech Weedle + Champion Red on Cobalion. I was proud I made it work, but I took way too much time trying to figure out what the hell I had to do by bar 3. I don't even know how I won in my winning run. Probably some lucky high damage roll. Also just praying for the longest freeze duration possible... Terrible overall.
Most overkill duo: Double Ho-oh on Coba
This LG I (pleasantly) learned: How to 2v1 sleepchain properly! Who knew the key to winning was to stay calm with your queues? As someone who mashes the move button, this was a sudden change of pace
This LG I (not-so-pleasantly) learned: LA bosses wake up and queue the first move of each bar entry immediately, disrupting your chain pattern
Unit I EX'd this LG that I definitely regret: I didn't EX that many this time around. Lodge Gladion ig
Unit I EX'd this LG that was 100% worth it: McDonalds worker Hilda!
