Each point of +Rare is "worth" two points in +Color, according to Expedition Skill "stat budgets"
If you look at every Expedition Skill in the game, you'll see that they are all worth exactly net +2
You might have other +3Rare characters but they "eat" two points of Blue
Omni gives 1Rare 1Blue (3 relevant budget points) whereas Rare Extract gives 2Rare (4 relevant budget points)
Omni is still good when you can use it, since it helps with 1star crystal income.
But to reach 10rare without further harming blue... You'll need Rare Extract for this
Fortunately we have SSLeaf's team using an Omni, and intermittent Cheers on all three teams generating 1star crystals
Hopefully that'll be enough.
Maybe we'll get the rest of Kalos' Elite Four someday, and maybe there'll be a Support among them.

You want 10pts of Rare Cache on every team, and then try to get one other color to 9+ on that team
You may have seen characters with "1-6" or "0-4"
These characters give points based on themeskill combos (currently all of them are region-based)
For example Selene gives +1red for each Alolan on the team, and Lillie gives +4blue if there are at least three Alolans on the team, including themselves
So we build teams by picking a themeskill combo and working around it.
Your red/rare team is built around Selene, and your blue/rare team is built around Lillie
Did that all make sense?
The Blue/Rare team already meets Lillie's reqs with Gladion and Lana; if your Red/Rare team needs Lusamine back, you can swap her with an off-region.

They will even out eventually. For some pairs i got 3 days with bad rng (gained like 5 levels each) but those good days with 12-16 levels will make up for those bad rngs, and you should also use x1.5 items in at least 2 days. 10 days are actually with bad luck. 8-9 days more likely
