So for you, I would try building two teams with Lv10 rare cache plus Lv10 in one color

Topics do not respawn in the same convo, even if you did not pick them. The Feel Ring calls them all to you in the first seven turns or so, and then none are left afterward.
The bigger problem is that four of your first seven turns (Turn1, Turn2, and the two turns of Max Vibes) have no Attention drain anyway, so Hot Topics do not serve useful purposes there

There are currently five guests who use red crystals, three that use blue crystals, and two that use yellow crystals
So I would recommend 10Red+10Cache Team A, and 10Blue+10Cache Team B, and allowing Rare Cache yields to give you yellow crystals

If you cannot build the 10Blue+10Cache team, see if you can get 9Blue+10Cache with Omni Extract instead

You can build a mono-region team to make use of a 1-6 skill like Selene's. Or you can build a dual-region team with two 0-4 region skills like Nate's

Elite Four members are valuable for their +3/-1 color spread. Alolan Trial Givers have this spread too (except Hala for some reason)

Realize that Johto and Kalos only have two Elite Four members in the game, and Galar doesn't have an Elite Four at all

Alola is very easy to build with.

Hoenn is a trap if you want to use Steven for red crystals. None of its Elite Four give red crystals (a Tech and three Supports, no Strikers)

There're nine topics, and each guest has the same number of options per topic; there's a bit below a 1/3rd chance of the hot topic being available on a given turn, without the Feel Ring

Going without the Feel Ring is what you do if you can reset to force the hot topic on turn 2-3

If you refuse to reset, I can see some benefit to using the Feel Ring

(The location might slightly nudge the odds, but it should still be close to an equal chance per topic)

Super-minmaxers might try other things-- for example the best possible Hot Topic for May is Hobbies, and the road adds two of those to the topic pool-- one of which is 10pts for her. So theoretically it may be better to bring May to the road and reset for Hobbies

Rare Caches are the only source of the tier4 crystals necessary to buy the extra interactions
Fortunately they're common drops (and Rare Caches aren't actually that rare at high levels)

It's a good idea to make sure all three of your teams have lv10 Rare Cache plus Lv9-10 of one other color

You get way more than enough to easily buy the extra interactions every day like this

Blue+Rare is hard, but Red+Rare is fairly easy.

Build your expedition teams around the trainers that have region-match bonuses

e.g. Selene giving +1 Red for each Alola on the team (including herself)

E4 members have the valuable +3/-1 color spread

Alola is the easiest to build with, as Trial Givers also have +3/-1 spreads for some reason

Rare Cache bonuses are on Villain, Rival, and Battle Facility Foe characters
(Though some of these overlap with other trainer types-- like Blue also being a Champion, so sometimes he has a Champion color spread instead)

Three teams at Lv10color/10rare will get you more color crystals than Lv7/7/7color

10Blue/10Rare is very difficult because there aren't many Support Battle Facility Foes/Rivals/Villains, and none that give +3 Rare. Only two viable teams are known to exist, though it's possible to get 9Blue/10Rare with somewhat less fuss (which is probably close enough with all the Rare Caches feeding you tier3 crystals of all colors)

If you happen to have both Kris/Suicune and Giovanni/Nidoking, you can build one of them

If you happen to have, er...

Fall Caitlin (+2 Blue +1 Rare)
Fall Allister (+2 Blue +1 Rare)
Sonia (+5 Blue, 5 Galar)
Gloria (+2 Rare)
Hop (+2 Rare -2 Red)
Summer Marnie (+2 Rare -2 Red)
...Then you can build the other (but good luck, that's three seasonals and two fairs)

Otherwise either settle for 9Blue/10Rare or try building something else (10Yellow/10Rare or a second 10Red/10rare)
