Here’s the crux of the problem
I can currently farm between 500 and 790 of each silver crystal each day (not including chests which are at level 9/10 depending on if cheer is active or not)
And I am currently farming around 1440 of each bronze crystal each day

6 glasses + 6 dig-it shovels = 1200 bronze crystals
6 glasses + 2 bronze gifts of each crystal type (total of six) = 1200 bronze crystals
1 of each silver gift of each crystal type (total of three) = 500 silver crystals
In short, what is better? 6 dig-it shovels and hope I get lucky enough to get more than 3 silver gifts each day? Or able to use a gift every interaction but not buying dig-it shovels?

current theory is trainers have around default 7 conversation options in each topic, and the specific location adds 2 total across specific topics

it's much more noticeable when looking at a chart of conversation options grouped by topic.
For example, Cynthia's datamined topics have 14 total options for Places, but half of them are either exceedingly rare or location-specific (more likely)
