ok, so I think I can confirm that it's impossible to soft-reset the convo right before it ends

if you play with data and WiFi off, you are still able to continue the convo as normal, including Max Vibes and gift-giving

however, if the convo will end, the instant you press one of the topics, a "You are not connected" error pops up
reconnecting to the internet will proceed to end the convo

I'm guessing it's either decided instantly upon choosing a topic, or even before you make a choice at all
meaning there is no window to soft-reset just before, the slight pause doesn't matter

Thinking about my current expedition set-up
In short, these are the criteria I want to meet
-Both chest numbers being the same, even if one has to use a boost (I.e. current set up of 6 and 8 is acceptable because I can boost 6 to 8 and have both at 8)
-All three colours are at the same count (at the moment it’s 6, blue and red at 6 on one and yellow on 6 on the other)
-Flint must be included (because I like Infernape)

The thing I’m thinking about is if I should try to to have the chest reach 7 and 9, enough room to that cheer isn’t mostly pointless), but I also want between 300-600 of each bronze and silver each day so that I can use the glasses and mood ring for every interaction

but focusing 2 teams on chest I don't think is optimal

So I prefer having a team that focuses on 2 colors

and other on the remaining color and chest

I'm fairly certain 2 lv10 chest teams is optimal for daily sustain. expected 1500 silver crystals of each type, and 1400 bronze crystals from omni boost. more than enough for 6x of all the interaction items.
then stack the rest in the crystal color matching your trainer type (red for strikers, yellow for tech, blue for support) and max out the attention presents (5 silver + 1 gold per day)

can probably skip the juice box tbh, which saves 600 of each silver crystals per day
