Got 6 multis left so .99^66 = 51% chance to miss the second. 0.26 x 0.51 = 0.13, so 13% I miss both ignoring a pity.

Can't avoid mentioning how valuable the 3k paids is to rack up 10k (2 selects worth) in the course of a year to skip the odds of 2 shafts for less than 1.5 buck monthly value, but if you're FULL f2p you gotta understand sadly odds are a bit harsher on you

I am definitely pulling for the Kanto Champion Trio, and hopefully I get the chance to save more to pull for Champion Silver next year.

you have about 3 months

you can get about 70k

if you want to get all the units, you will get 2.5 units on average for any mf month

e(x) for a mf is 0.01, or 1/100, so you need 100 pulls or about 28000 gems

so 2.5 units on average, and its 28000 gems on average per unit, which means you need 70k gems saved up on an average mf month

that means you will spend EVERY gem you saved up for the mf month every time

so you NEVER have spare gems if you want every mf unit

Thing is, do u really need every mf released? Even if you are chasing meta, some units can be skipped cos they are underwhelming. If you are chasing faves, skipping non-faves is pretty much a given.

Same can be said for arc fairs, just because they have 2 extra unique abilities does not mean all are worth your gems. A banner with a higher pity ceiling should also means that your expectations for that unit should also go up.

This year tho, with SAs, 5/5 MFs and full year with Arc pairs, they better choose between

• boost average to 25-26k monthly minimum
• give us a way to acquire SA candies out of banners, even if slowly
• increase income

I'm personally not too worried, as 5/5 MFs were something i expected since last half anni, and niche characters getting pokefairs is better than spotlights or varieties

And seasonals being now actually really good makes me feel less bad about going for fashion over meta

Another thing i do is keep a list of banner pulls to keep track of how and how much i spent

i did pull for funzies every now and then on random banners just because i didn't really care, so i have a bunch of random seasonal and anni units now lmao

But any amount of gems when you're low can determine reaching pity or having wasted 20-30-35k gems for literally nothing

Skipping requires a bit of self restraint but you gotta remember yoloing and getting unlucky is not just "getting 0"

You're now in a setback compared to having skipped and saved for a rerun

Poma is still really generous compared to most gachas, with around 300k f2p gems of economy flowing yearly into each player's account

Thats, in the worst scenario, 9 pities. So in general always remember how many units you have as objective, expecting to get 9-10 new shiny units per year. Its unlikely for players to get 100% shafts, but it can happen. And for every month saved, its one more gem backup from a pity

Getting lucky 3-4 times doesn't mean a pity will cost less than 36k

And the f2p gem income won't change much, meaning even if you get consistently lucky but burn through 90% of your gems monthly, you're gonna start snowballing at the first shaft

true, i've also played nearly every mode there is for free gems so there's that, i now rely on events and pomas day/anni for free gems

i usually get the the streak bundle (+ sometimes the move coin one as well) so those will also come in handy with saving more quickly (+ for tiered scouts to guarantee a character)

Yeah 3k bundle is a saving grace and a curse as pure f2ps are left out of a fantastic deal, while small spenders have access to ton of selects for relatively cheap

I buy exclusively the 3k one every 40-60 days, and that alone helped me skip seasonals i wanted but couldn't afford a pity on in that specific moment many times

yeah the 3k bundle is a great deal, just started getting it a month ago and will most likely continue doing so. the move coin bundle is pricey but it helps with getting units to 3/5 so i'd say it's not too terrible

In a year refreshing the 3k constantly nets you 54k paids circa for 70€
Meanwhile the 7k + Candy bundle gives you 126k paid gems and 18 for 400€

Thats barely more than double the gems for 7+ times the price, and candies don't help you acquire units, and not all of the limiteds in poma need 3-5/5

If you only want to use paids for selects, even grabbing EVERY SINGLE select wont require more than 40k paids

NC marnie has reran recently, so she won't likely, LIKELY, pop up soon. Nate and Rosa will likely rerun soon-ish (6 months circa) and silver and gladion will likely pop up around next anni (sept 2025)

by managing well your resources you have good odds of getting 3/4 easily while still being able to go for another couple of banners in meantime in case something REALLY up there pops up

I mean i wasn't dying for them, ||just like I'm not dying for giovanni and guzzlord, but they're in my I LIKE A LOT tier, which I can afford to go after since I have a lot of gems saved for my ABSOLUTE NEED units||

but again, pokefairs are really easy to skip because EVENTUALLY, they'll rerun with other units, and the more pokefairs you skip, the higher the odds of getting a triple pokefair banner with a must get unit and 2 "i like" units

• skip release banner for pokefairs i REALLY LIKE for either select or group rerun (recent example: rei, akari, klara and avery, which i skipped because I expected them to get an eventual dual rerun like usum elio and selene did this month)
• skip completely because low or no fave

||mix is what I use to "yolo" a single every blue moon when I really wanna try my luck but don't wanna just waste resources. I've done 80-90 singles in it in more than a year since its debut, got some funny spooks but at least i know it'll eventually pay off in a pity unlike doing dailies on banners that will leave with 1-3 dailies on them across a month||
