Personally, I've reached 200k once||, but my reason is to always have enough for pulling on master fairs since they release in bunches||. ||At what point is saving more gratifying than just getting new pairs (for variety at the very least) when your gem count exceeds 6 pities?|| Hypothetically, the game could come to an end at any point.. or your interest for the game wanes off.. or other priorities come up.. Just curious on your angle.

The highest i've saved up was around 6 pities. It just feels comforting and reassuring to know that when multiple faves come up at once, you can get them safely

Case in point, Kantrio are my all time faves ||and I went to pity on Red and Leaf...|| But it's okay cause I had 180k in hand!

For me ||getting new pairs "for variety" isn't very gratifying|| because I find myself using the same old faves anyway. I streak LG so I get to use almost my entire roster but I know most players stick to the units they're comfortable with, so if you're ||pulling for variety's sake, you might end up not using the new units you pull for||

I still use a year 1 unit for fire-weak because I like the character for example, so I'm not planning to pull on more fire types for "more options" unless they're huge faves
