History
1 I had a VCore-3.2H running RatOS 2.1 with everything working normally (Mainsail and a physical ethernet).
2 Then I attached a TouchScreen to the rPI with a HDMI cable and a USB cable.
3 Then Rebooted and the TouchSreen started working but ...
4 Mainsail (the klipper web interface from RatOS2.1) stopped working.
5 I can ping the printers IP address and I can SSH to it with Putty. The ethernet network is working.
6 I went down a few rabbit holes after reading old streams in Discord. I tried these commands in putty in the process
sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager
sudo systemctl disable NetworkManager
sudo systemctl mask NetworkManager
sudo rm -f /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
sudo ln -s /boot/ratos-wpa-supplicant.txt /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo systemctl disable NetworkManager
Unit /etc/systemd/system/NetworkManager.service is masked, ignoring.
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo systemctl mask NetworkManager
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo rm -f /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo ln -s /boot/ratos-wpa-supplicant.txt /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
pi@RatOS:~ $ sudo reboot
7 I tried disconnecting the TouchScreen/KlipperScreen and rebooting. I can SSH/Putty into 192.168.1.252 but the Mainsail web interface is not functioning.
8 Current status:
The printer will let me use SSH/Putty to login to 192.168.1.252 as pi
My web browsers can not access HTTP://192.168.1.252 and gives the following:
- This site can’t be reached
- 192.168.1.252 refused to connect.
When I choose 'other options' and 'system' on the KlipperScreen it see that 192.168.1.252 is properly assigned to the ethernet adapter.
9 I can't use the RatOS configurator since that is accessible only from mainsail (web interface) and I don't want to start from scratch with a fresh RatOS if I don't have to.
So my question is: How do I get Mainsail/Fluid back? Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions?
