@trim anvil Depending on how cheap it was, some use the outside of the soldering iron as a common neutral. A wire might have come undone outside of it.
My hotair station had this problem. Was a simple fix.

My hot air station put the fuse on the neutral and switch on the neutral. So if the fuse blew, the case would then begin conducting due to the case being grounded. So I had to change that in a few minutes.

Also the cable it came with was switched, so I wonder if the manufacturer bought a few thousand of these "bad" cables for nothing and then decided to change the design to account for the cable.
So if I ever used a normal C13 type cable, it would flip which line was fused.

Morning, everybody! I have a question about the Elgato Ring Light. If I wanted it to move it slightly over my monitors, would I be fine with the Multi Mount S it comes with or should I get a L Multi Mount?

The Multi Mount S extends up to 49 inches (125 cm) so you should be good
I have my a6000 attached to a Multi Mount L and basically have it at the lowest height and it clears my 24" monitor

Hello everyone. I want to take my stream deck to the next level, but not sure if what i want to do is available as a feature or if I have to get a 3rd party plugin/extension added. I stream on Twitch, I have the Stream Deck & the XL. I want to tie points to my Twitch Chat that can be used to allow sources or sounds to be controlled by my chat. For example: Let's say I am a viewer in the channel I redeem 1000 points to be able to have a sound or animation in a source within a scene, is this possible? I see some alternative (stream decks) options but have not seen this for the Elgato SD, any suggestions?

VA update: So before I had issues with the VA trying to lower my rate without a hearing and I contacted our Senator. The VA is now saying that it was a mistake and I will be continuing the 100 percent total and permanent as told a couple of years ago.
