I know about the sponsor links thing as I'm friends with a Corsair sponsor and have used her link to buy stuff and get her credited. It's possible the preorder system would mess with that and cause credit to get lost and that's why they're not doing it.
It's janky as all heck though, if you even so much as refresh a page other than the one tied to their link, it can lose them the credit. And you only get a certain amount of time to order before the credit is lost.
At least from my understanding that's how it works. Could be wrong mind you.

Okay, so it turns out my computer can't power the Elgato by itself. I have to run it through a USB hub. This computer's ENTIRE purpose is for streaming. As such it has enough USB ports for the few things I have, I really don't need a hub.
Is there ANY way to inject power into a USB system through either having a secondary usb a plug (like old portable hard drives used to have), or through a separate wall adapter?
I don't want to 1) run it through a hug, and 2) waste the space and everything necessary for one.

It really doesn't work like that with products that are already out. The supply chain for just one electronic product is insanely complex. You need the circuit board, molded plastics, led lights and screens, a housing for all the electronics, wires, ect. Then it gets sent to a factory to be assembled. There are complex contracts in place. Plus the current events aren't exactly helping move things along.
The very thing that's causing a surge in demand is also hampering supply.
So once things are level again, demand will go back down and supply will return to normal.

but even so, take a look at samsung they are releasing their new flagship phone Note 20 and in my opinion its way more complex than a mic. it deals with glass, screens, PCB board, wires, CPU for EU and US

If one thing, like a pandemic, goes wrong you put a wrench in the whole chain.

Hey guys, I could really use some help
I've had some issues with OBS game recording, so I got myself Elgato HD60 S external - thought I might use it both for PC and PS4 streaming and recording, bur primarily PC
I got two monitors hooked up to my PC, the main one via display port, secondary one via HDMI
The tutorials show that I should connect Elgato to the PC (in) and from Elgato to Monitor (out) but I am concerned about the quality loss - this doesn't seem like the best idea
What do I do? Disconnect the display port and get my gameplay through HDMI, which should enable Elgato to work properly? Any suggestions?
Any help would be highly appreciated! Googling the issue just keeps throwing out same generic nonsense over and over again...

Main difference between goxlr mini and the full one are the buttons, and the motorized faders. As far as I can tell from the specsheets. Software capabilities are exactly the same.

yeah you can make stream deck work with goxlr and (probably) voicemeeter
or you can just make a key with a sound effect on it inside of the stream deck software too

Also @bright knoll, most foot switches are accessibility devices, meant for disabled people, and can be programmed to do an array of stuff, mostly opening programs, and performing keystrokes. What you really want is a foot switch that can trigger a key combo, that will make another piece of software play a sound effect, or perhaps trigger playback of something in OBS... All possible to archive, but not within the streamdeck software. (If you want to trigger it with a foot switch, that is. )

There isn't an ETA on when things go in stock due to covid at the moment. Multimount took about 2-3 months to go in stock and were sold out after a few days. Companies are dealing with a lot of back orders, demand, and manufacturing difficulties unfortunately due to the current crisis.

Another question btw, idk if you guys can answer this, but one of my Elgato key lights has been wobbling a little more than the other one.
Any clue if they are supposed to wobble a little or if it’s probably damaged? I bought it through amazon and it has lasted a good 5 months, but is now beginning to wobble out of nowhere.
Any clue if it’s broken? And if so, even though I bought it through amazon, does the manufacturer’s warranty still apply?
It’s not a big wobble, but a noticeable difference between my other one.

That is kinda embarassing because i don't have much space there. So he told me to use an external driver. I think it depends on how loud your speaker is
At the end of the day most microphones, youd need to apply some filters for noise gate, compressor settings, and gain to fine tune it. There’s not going to be a magic mic that will automatically do that for you.

Some computers come with software to mute expected audio coming from speakers, but I highly recommend a headset when using a higher end microphone like the Wave or anything else.
