It's usually personal preference for a PC setup. Though sometimes cloning doesn't work as well for some users, so passthrough is more reliable.

Yes, there is a timer. It even exports to a .txt file so you can do countdowns or how long the stream has been going.

For #archived-question-of-the-day, Scene changes are my utmost most used since I do a lot of hot takes of myself such as when I die stupidly and just zoom in on my face. Cause.. reasons. But - my pre-setup folder is just as important. I'd like to set this up as a multi action eventually, but it's just nice to start my stream up in one place nice and easily.

Ah okay, obs + stream elements has a ugin on the deck made by BarRaider allows scene transitions and that stuff. Only downfall is that the twitch or one api require you to death every re/boot

@frail obsidian Well If you wanted to play in 4K, you'd need the 4K60 Pro, 4K60 S+, or HD60 S+.

But for capturing 4K, that would be the 4K60 Pro or 4K60 S+. If you just wanted to produce 1080p and play in 4K. HD60 S+ could do that at a lower price.

now i said it before the keylights came out that they should have done it , then they posted a pic on their site with the lights on a desk and asked if they had those for sale , they said no and a month later, boom , key lights came out. now with this new mic , they should jump on the gamer mixers ! theres only one company now on it and thats TC helicon with the GoXLR....unless you go for high end like yamaha or behringer. so its crazy not to tap into the audio portion of game streaming

so, having 39 profiles is actually a bad thing it seems, whenever i press the dropdown to select a profile in the stream deck software it just kinda lags and double registers the click so it selects whatever profile was under the mouse

SE you can edit your overlays online so its all kept in one place and you dont have to download overlays and edit them. Plus SE uses alot less resources

@past cobalt I would probably not recommend a at2035 due to it being a condenser mic. Unless you have an audio treated room then the amount of noise would be terrible. Even then for commentary the same thing goes, you'll get better sounding audio for less work with a decent dynamic mic. That being said you can also get specific drum mics or even matched pairs mics.

   I'm using a blue yeti and im well aware that i'm gonna have to plug to the PC otherwise its not gonna record it (its corrently pluged in to the ps4) the question is, i like to plug my earbuds into the blue to hear the game and the instant feedback from the mic when i talk. this is important to me, i understand that using the recording software i'm able to see the screen of the game on my TV monitor, on my PC as well, the question is if the screen on PC also makes the game sound??? because if i got the blue yeti plugged into the PC with my buds connected to the mic directly and i cant hear the sound of the game from my PC even tho im playing on my TV, then im gonna have a problem.
   I liked the idea of how the standalone 4k60 S+ works, but i can't connect the blue yeti correctly to him correct? i only see a wired microphone entry on him. or can i plug the blue yet on USB to something that has a USB 3.0 exit and then from that to the standalone S+?

3. well i talked about it in 2 but im just making sure, i got the ps4 connected to the elgato device wte it is, and from that it goes back to the TV monitor. with a USB or PCI allowing me to see it on the PC as well? i'll play on the TV but also see a small window version of it on the screen? just recording no streaming

@vapid iris Pretty sure you can choose the quality so you can choose to record your PS4 in 720p, 1080p 2k or 4k. So you can just upgrade to 4k capture with the PS5

Plug your Yeti into the PC, then your earphones into the yeti and you can download a mixer called voice meeter banana. Once you do that you can choose to have your desktop audio and mic audio play though your Yeti and hear it all at once

With #3 are you asking if you will see a small version of your PS4 on your PC? If so then yes you will see a preview in the capture software which is where you can record or stream from :) with the Pro or S there should also be very little latency so no change of audio/webcam to sync to gameplay should be required if streaming through something like OBS

1. Yes it can record from a normal PS4 in 1080p60
2. I have not tested the Blue Yeti with the PS4 but if while you're using it in the setup as you described, and you don't get any sound to your TV from the PS4, then it will be the same situation with capture cards. It's a software limitation of Sony where in some instances of headsets being plugged in it disables HDMI audio. So if the audio settings in PS4 say it outputs to USB audio device (Blue Yeti) then it would most likely be disabling HDMI audio.
3. I have no idea what this sentence is to be honest

So test out if your TV has audio when you're using the Yeti on the PS4 as you do. If it gets audio, then your cap card will get audio. If it doesn't, your cap card won't. A workaround for this when it comes to headsets is our product Chat Link, but considering the port on your Yeti is simply a headphone port and not a headset port, you would simply need a 3.5mm splitter, a 3.5mm cable, and a 3.5mm ground loop isolator to connect your Yeti's headphone jack to the 3.5mm line in of the 4K60 S+. Then your headphones would plug into the open 3.5mm port of the splitter.

And as i speak about the ps4 it means that i'm using a USB blue yeti otherwise the console won't recoqnize it, i dont need the chat link cuz im recording only my voice. i asked about the 4k60 S+ because his mic entry is wired and not USB, so is there an adapter that i use to plug usb to wire entry? if not is there an adaptar that i can use to plug the blue yeti's 2.0 USB to USB 3.0 entry and will it work? or that usb 3.0 entry is only to be connected to the PC and it wont accept the mic for recording? I 100% aware that i wont be able to hear anything from the blue yeti once i plug the ps4 to the capture card i already knew that im gonna have to put it on the PC, im asking if i can hear the game ON the PC because im gonna be connected to the PC with a small screen with the mic and earbuds while watching and playing the big TV. i need to know if the software plays the sound of the game, and also is both my TV screen and my Computer screen will make the ps4' game sound, or only the computer? does connecting the TV monitor to a elgato kills the sound on the TV?

I love that to start my stream I push one button and it:
Set's a stream marker, mutes my Mic and Desktop audio, plays intro stinger, swaps to draft, turns on draft music as stinger ends and turns on my audio.
Honest to god, multi action is the best ever.
Now we just need a tool that can fade in/out (raise up and down) audio tracks

Does anyone know any programs that can record footage in lossless .raw format with a Elgato HD 60 Pro?

Virtualdub can. OBS Studio can as well if you use the custom FFMPEG output.

But "raw" isn't really a thing in the same way it is with a camera. It will be uncompressed though.

For OBS Studio with custom ffmpeg output, try using the AVI container.
Video Encoder: utvideo.
VIdeo Encoder Settings: -pix_fmt yuv420p
Audio Encoder: pcm_s16le or 24le

There are other lossless options though, but UTvideo has fantastic performance. I've recorded realtime 4K60 lossless to a single SSD on an 8core 2700x before.

Configuration? You mean to create custom HD60 S+..s? Its not in the pipeline at this time, but you can always request it in #feature-request!

How to edit Custom HD60 S+ Template.psd

1. Open up .PSD
2. In the layers panel, double click the "Color Overlay" text under the bottom half or top half layer to open up the layer effects window.
3. It will automatically be on the Color Overlay menu, where you'll see an option called "Blend Mode" and a color picker square next to it.
4. Do not change the blend mode, but do click the colored square to open up the color picker menu. Choose whatever color you want, then click OK on the menus to apply the effect.
5. Repeat this step on the other "half" layer.
6. Repeat this step for the HD60 S+ Logo layer
7. Once you've customized the colors to your HD60 S+, drag an image (preferably .PNG) onto the canvas and it should create a new layer as the top most layer.
8. Position it where you want, you may want to press CTRL+T to enable transform where you can resize the image to fit inside the HD60 S+ (hold shift while resizing to maintain aspect ratio)
9. If your image is a JPG you'll want to use the magic wand tool (W) to get rid of any background there might be on the image before placing it. If photoshop gives you an error when you try to do this, you may need to right click the layer and click "Rasterize Layer" and try again.
10. Once your HD60 S+ is finished being customized, you can go to File>Save As and save your file as a PNG or JPG and you're good to go!
