Ok great....so I just found out how to add image overlays to stream. I am using XBOX1X for Gameplay. Macbook Pro for Streaming (Restream). I want to add FOLLOWER ALERTS, DONATION ALERS, SHARE ALERTS AND LIKE ALERTS... 1st Question is...Because I use Restream and stream from many different sites at same time, do I have to choose which site I want those alerts from (Facebook, Twitch, Youtube, Etc) or would I have to add a "overlay" for each website alert, follow, etc

HD60 S has the advantage of being optimized for consoles with features like a 3.5mm input and HDMI pass through in case you want to use it for multiple purposes.

Cam Link 4K is more affordable because when optimizing it for cameras we were able to remove things like the 3.5mm jack and HDMI pass through which reduces cost. Cam Link 4K is also UVC so it can work with basically any app that recognizes a webcam. @versed monolith

The thing is TC Helicon have been doing audio recording/audiointerfaces for a while... Elgato not so much. I don't think a audio mixer will be coming and if one does it won't be as good quality due to them trying to beat TX Helicons price for the goxlr. Maybe from Logitech seeing as they bought blue but elgato? I don't see it happening.

Rgb key light maybe. Who knows maybe a different form factor stream deck like a strip of keys to go above your keyboard like an extra f row? Or maybe a whole keyboard with the numpad being a streamdeck built it seeing as they have that corsair group power

Yes. You can also set Smart Profiles so that when Premiere opens your Stream Deck automatically switches to your programmed keys

Me playing games almost no one is seems to bring new people in occasionally. When I played AC1 and 2 I think I got in like 10 new followers in maybe 4-5 new viewers who stuck around since a couple months ago.

I honestly got most of my following originally from my 'throw back sundays' where I played ff8 from start to finish. There's no right way to get a following but what had worked for me was a dedicated day/time and something I loved to play for myself - others just kind of showed up. My goal is to get back to being consistent. I need to pick a time and day that works for me and stick to it haha

It's gotta be something I actually enjoy playing and it sounds like I'm enjoying. My mood will be better and I think that helps keep people engaged.

But with so few viewers, the statistical noise becomes a big deal. When you're someone like us and you get <5 viewers normally, just the luck of scheduling can cause no one to show up. So I personally don't concern myself too much with it, but I'm also not into streaming to grow into anything.

Yea I find wow hard to stream as well. I love playing but unless you're demonstrating a "how to get rich in wow" or constantly running raids - it gets hard to keep peoples attention. From my streams at least

Moonmoon streamed WoW classic for a few weeks and doesn't seem the audience was super into it. From 15k viewers to maybe 7-8 over a couple weeks.

Figured out why I had a weird echo on stream yesterday. Here's a tip to those of you who decide to use a regular cap card like the HD60S with a DSLR, instead of a CamLink. Mute your device audio for the capcard. My Canon EOS RP was sending audio through via HDMI on the camera body.

I have to say, Corsair support has been flawless. I forgot to use a sponsor link so they offered to allow it to be sent back for a full refund (with then swallowing delivery costs), and let me re-order with the sponsor code. My peripherals may not be Corsair (though Elgato is awesome), but I'd definitely consider Corsair peripherals based on my experiences of their customer support with my Elgato products.

Chroma keying doesn't necessarily need lots of lumens, more so even lighting. Smaller light sources make that more difficult.

Finally another person who gets it, nothing to do with the keyboard at all, it's just iCue noting the keystroke and sending it to the Streamdeck.
I mean theoretically you could use any keyboard as a StreamDeck if Elgato allowed plugins to use other plugins actions. But then all the money would dissapear or they would charge a subscription for the Software...

my optimal camera position for behind my monitor is a little lower than the minimum height of the mount by itself

#

actually not too hard to level it, just make sure you have some good leveling tools

#

hot shoe bubble level + level to sit on the smallrig frame

#

plus a fluid pan head so i can swap it easily and get the same position every time

#

i also use it on another multimount with the same head for mixed reality

Question about the 4K60 S+
What is the feature "Multi App Support"?

I'm wondering whether, like the 4K60 Pro, you can use the input from the S+ as an OBS source, but also use the same signal simultaneously in the 4K capture utility - is that what it's referring to, and that the S+ doesn't have it? And if so, that means the HD60 S+ can do that as well, right?

@buoyant current Currently only the 4K60 Pro MK.2 offers Multi-App Support. 4K60 S+ and our other devices currently can only be used in one program at a time.

But yes you could have it open recording 'original' 4K 60fps video in 4K Capture Utility, and it also directly inside of OBS Studio for streaming. No need to move video between software or use any sort of window capture to make it work

Yeah, the g9 recently got a firmware update and is basically a GH5 with a few missing small things

Only missing it’s 400mbit 4k24, 240fps 1080p and custom LUT apply on internal or hdmi

I'm thinking of getting an HD 60 due to its hardware encoder so that it takes the stress off my laptop. However, since I'll be speedrunning I want to add a Livesplit feed (essentially a stopwatch) to the video. Will adding this require me to stop using the hardware encoder, and put all the stress on my CPU again? If not, how do I go about adding it? Thanks.

If i record without computer will the footage be 4K HDR or just 4K? But without macOS support I can't use 4K60 S+ for streaming, right? I would need like HD60 S+ for streaming on macOS?

Okey, So basically I plug 4K60 S+ to my PS4 pro and record maybe a 45 minutes game footage into the memory card. Then I stop, take memory card, put it into my iMac's card reader and import the footage to Final Cut Pro X? Then I have 4K HDR footage? IS this right? @woven tusk

@slow warren that is correct. If you want to stream however - the 4K60 S+ only works with Windows 10, but if you are simply recording console and editing on a computer, it doesn't matter if it is windows or mac

By "multi-mount", I think it just means the straight pieces though, not necessarily the ball mount piece to adjust it so it goes diagonal.

It would be interesting thought if you were able to put both a keylight and a Flex Arm on the same multi mount.

hrm, so my idea of mix & matching with RAM mounts probably wouldn't work. 😛 They use a 1" ball diameter.

As for the Key Light - the top of the mount is the ball mount with 1/4 in screw. you could technically remove the light and mount it on something else and use the mount for your camera @torn shoal @neon hatch

as for a wireless stream deck, yes mobile would be your best bet in terms of wireless - but we are looking into stream deck for android. We can't give an estimated date on it just yet since we want to make sure we are entirely satisfied with it first.

It doesnt save to the device, but what we usually do for tradeshow events is export the profile and keep it where you'll have access such as a traveling laptop, email, or on dropbox. as for the bluetooth feature, post that in #feature-request with some use cases for our devs to see 🙂

there was a time when I on on the projected path to do streaming with a good, regular audience (pulling in 20-30 viewers at a time in 2017 on Mixer), but then we had our third kid and it put a back burner on streaming.

For the #archived-question-of-the-day, I'd have to say the best bit of advice is to start slow but be consistent. Communication is absolutely key, from communicating when and where you will be live at, to communicating with chat when you are streaming. But most importantly, have fun streaming!
