@mortal pasture At the base level, the Stream Deck can emulate keyboard presses. But it can also execute files, this is where more advanced AutoHotKey scripting can be implemented. Which opens up sort of unlimited options.

Taran from LTT is famous for scripting and automating things to the extreme. Stream Deck can have buttons assigned to those premade scripts.

Anyone has the El Gato Green Screeen Collapsible?>

I am thinking about getting one, but I not quite sure how people feel about it. If you have one, do you like it? Is it worth it? Is it much better compare with other Green Screens from other brands?

I absolutely love it for how easy it is to set up, since it's portable, a quick opening of a couple of flaps, opening a hatch, then pulling up. Takes me all of about 10 seconds to set up.

And it's a pretty crisp clean chromakey too, and the way it's done makes it pretty crease resistant too.

But in my experience it’s been somewhat minimal

Ive noticed two issues with stream deck. the window is improperly sized and extends under the taskbar. Soundboard is not useful unless I use virtual audio cable or broadcast to my speakers to a microphone. [will soundboard be updated to choose output instead of the broken windows sound app thing.]

For Twitter, we have German support available via ElgatoSupport. Just be sure to message us in German right away and it's easiest to see that and assign it as needed.

Yes, I know there was an issue (and some tweaks you could do) to have two elgato capture cards both used in the same system.

This model now supports HDR capture, is cheaper, smaller (support low profile), and multiple programs can access it at once. Which is a new thing for our devices. Traditionally if one program is using it, it's locked to that program. So now you can record with no overlays in 4K Capture Utility, and then stream in OBS Studio or similar with all your alerts. As an example.

This could be done with the original 4K60 Pro, but required an NDI type solution that we called Stream Link. Where you'd set it up in 4KCU, then send a signal to OBS or other software.

Personally, given I'm used to paying like £500 for a plastic smartphone, £230 for a StreamDeck XL is very much worth it to me

I don't want it on my phone, I want the actual tactile buttons

Right now I'm using MixItUp remote on my phone (Mixer streamer, so I can connect it all to the MIU remote). And I hate it. No tactile feeling of pressing the button

But basically, while the StreamDeck might not be worth it for you, it very much IS worth it for me. Which is why I'm getting the XL. I had a original StreamDeck (but gave it away when I quit streaming before, didn't think I'd ever get back into it), and it was one of the best tools in my stream kit. the MixItUp remote, without that tactile feel of each click, doesn't come close to it for me.

I just got a GoXLR and it has something like this and it blows my mind. I can set a bunch of sound effects to one button and it will choose one at random to use.

If you're a Mixer streamer and use MixItUp you can use MIU to do it 😛

You'd do that (one sound command for every sound file you want), make sure that Run One Randomly is selected, then just add that action group (it's an action group I'm creating in the screenshot) to StreamDeck as a "Run command"

Now that Elgato has some 4K capture cards that goes inside the compute, is there rumors for external one? Like a successor for the HD60s that would capture 4K video.

There are some on the market, but very expensive. 4k will definitely saturate usb 3.0, and have at least some latency like other 4k signals over usb like the camlink. It's minimal, but very noticeable and requires an audio delay to match everything up.

Probably doable at USB 3.1 speeds, but I'm sure there's a point where cost to have it perform well with minimal latency is hard to to keep at a low pricepoint. But I'm no engineer on this stuff :)

I’d like to stream some console games, both PS4 and vintage. I’m kinda on a budget and noticed the HDPro has dropped a lot in price with the release of the 4K. Would the HDPro be ok for what I want to do? Don’t most people stream in 1080p and 60fps anyway?
