It's not hard, there's a grid of squares, under some squares are bombs that end the game, when you click a square it removes some and shows with numbers neighboring tiles are to bombs, then you mark the ones you think are bombs until you've cleared all squares that aren't bombs and then you win ^^

I haven't tried the Streamdeck version though, these are my boomer memories from playing Minesweeper on Windows 95 😛

Not sure if this was brought up but the new wave link beta and its stream deck plugin have a constant problem where they just won't communicate. Stream deck software just says "Please launch Wave Link"

Restarting both softwares does fix it, but it breaks again if I exit the WL profile for even a second

People think sample rate = quality, but it only equals higher frequencies captured, which are all beyond human hearing and beyond where the mic can capture and beyond what speakers can reproduce and what audio/video streams can contain.

I'd really recommend against Alienware, they always skimp on cooling and good components which means worse performance and temperatures than something from like Maingear, NZXT BLD, Origin, Corsair or any other.

so it's your recording it's only doing 720p, but you can do 1080p and some OBS settings to get a great quality, but I do PC recording directly from my PC, or use my capture card for consoles. I have a chart I can send you, but there is slight tweaking I do per OBS profile.

Allowing the prompter to keep and withhold context and access to info and then storing state to super power the streamer/gamer/presenter user. I am sure you could also push in-games states to it. Or use it as a digital chalkboard/notepad by storing ephemeral data like information relevant to the task at hand. Storing something to remember to comeback to. Like a question or maybe you are storing information about an encounter inside of raid inside of destiny 2 and the shapes on the inside are CST and you now need to dissect the shapes out and the dissections steps are now in a place for you to see and read clutter free

I have a "Oh Crap" multiaction toggle on my Streamdeck that swaps to my "BRB" scene, mutes all my inputs other than "Music," and plays a playlist on Spotify. Then the second press fades the music and unmutes all the other audio channels I use. I will manually turn my mic on and swap back to the appropriate scene when I need to. It's super handy when I get a phone call or something comes up that I HAVE to deal with.

Yes, the audio jack on it can be used as a sound card to listen to your headphones (a headset without a mic is just headphones - the jack won't support a mic on a headset though, they'll just work as headphones if you try).

You can't used the mic on a headset with it at all, (unless you get some sort of adapter to split it off an use it with a XLR jack). The monitor jack is only wired for output so it won't take a mic in.

Fair question though, but it's always something that's been in debated even on TV and Radio from decades ago. There's shows that just churn out episodes to keep people fed with content and shows that release small runs of episodes with higher production values. The balance for streaming is going to come largely from the audience you're trying to cover and your available schedule, as well as what sort of content you're making. It's going to vary a lot based on the user, and there's no real one size fits all strategy.
For example folks playing an ongoing game may get by by keeping things going, playing a couple hours a day on average of the same game like counterstrike, Overwatch, FFXIV, etc. Meanwhile someone doing tech reviews might be better off spending the time through the week planning a longer video breakdown with more detail on what they're dong. There's no real one size fits all answer here. Personally I Fall into the later, the few times I've put out videos they're usually tech related - the longer, more planned video setup works there better than the quick one offs - those tend to just wind up with an endless sea of questions from viewers.

@little comet I'll bring this topic over here: Most platforms (not limited to YT) have 2 major issues on that matter, which is not being focused on directories for diverse content, and also not having a dedicated community that wants to put effort into that. Mixer is a massive good example on how easily that can be explained, since a lot of the viewers shifted to single content creators, but not the platform itself

And Google's API policy doesn't make that easier in any shape or form

But at the same time, while Twitch has the "best streaming platform", they have other flaws like their discovery being extremely limited, where you need secondary platforms to be able to fill those gaps

When someone raids in I have it set so it does a !so [raider] command so that I see in chat what they were playing, it puts an image of the raider on screen, and does the big /shoutout command. Then with stream deck position hotkeys I can bounce around to show off the model, do toggles fast, and more people would feel welcomed

Sorry to say this Elgato but your capture devices suck. I have had nothing but trouble with your 4k X capture card. If its not sorting out video then its the audio. You have no capture audio software that comes bundled with the 4k X. If you want to use your software to do this. Then you have to buy wavelink through other products. I have tried using different ways to make this achievble. Through virtual cables and audio interfaces and its all just massive ball ache. It should be simple to hook up a dual pc. I really hope the next product you bring out is going to be less painful. I wish I never got the Elgato 4k x to be honest with ya. Its a shame as the video quality is beautiful. Sorry for the rant. I am just frustrated with all this bollox.

4K Capture Utilty should be capturing your audio for you without any additional apps

If you need to split audio on an Dual PC setup you could also use the older Elgato Sound Capture app bundled with Game Capture HD

The old elgato sound capture application is not very good. I tried that . The 4k capture utility works great for video but the audio is a pain in my backside. Probably just go back to 1 pc setup. Just wasted so much money on this.

I always found Sound Capture great - just a bit limited, but fantatic for sending just game audio from the game PC to the stream PC. It does have issues if you run your mic on the gaming PC though, since you'd have to use Windows Listen To to mix the mic into the HDMI then though.

Dual PC audio tends to be a headache anyway though - in thist case it's less likely a card issue and more of a software one. I'd rcommened sending a request for some audio splitting software like that to #feature-request

You're going to hit dual PC audio issues like that with pretty much any card on the market though, unless you're using something like a dual PC audio mixer as a workaround to get it via hardware.

OK, I've got a question which has been sitting in the back of my mind for ages, and no it's not a tech question, just a general question. The Pop Filter for the Wave mics that sit on the wave carriage (or what ever it's called), what are the hooks for the pop filter hang on from below and not from above. One would think that the hooks bottoms should be pointing up instead of down, but they're pointing down, and that never made sense to me at all. Why are they like that?

Crest. I honestly thought that elgato would of been literally plug and play. So my goal was to use my laptop as the streaming computer. As your aware I can't put an internal capture card inside so I have resorted to buying the 4k X to make this work. My ultimate goal was to hook up the elgato to my streaming laptop and using the 4k x with the go xlr as an audio interface. I used voice meeter banana with virtual cables and had some audio issues. The thing is crest. It shouldn't be this difficult to plug in a device into set capture device and capture audio and video. The capture utility is trash. It either says it can't support the format or it's busy on another device. It's like a broken record. I am going to give it another go 2moro fixing this issue 2moro before the fragpunk beta comes out. I just feel that the software needs to be revamped. I also feel that elgato should include a premium application that splits sound like the wavelink( without having to buy other products to get this software) . There must be a valid reason why the sound capture is discontinued and there not using it for there lastest capture devices.

Question - Using the MK2 Facecam, love it! But on my other cams I can open the properties of each camera via OBS and adjust the hue. I am not able to with the Facecam. I can adjust everything but the hue. So I open up the cam software and while there are a lot of adjustments I can make, none for hue.

hey chat, i have this one problem, im using a laptop and i have a usb hub, i have elgato wave 3 connected to it. whenever i use my mic/stop using it, my laptop freezes for 1 sec. for example when i join/disconnect from vcs, whenever i use other apps to record voice, whenever i test mic on discord. i think its possibly because i have 4 usbs connected to the laptop and laptop gets overloaded. are there any solutions to this or i should just get along with it?

First of all, get a proper USB hub that's powered by a wallsocket. Then try to minimize the amount of ports you use because the onboard USB Controller in your laptop can only handle so much before it gets overwhelmed and everything starts to stutter.

It's great and has come in clutch two times so far

hey idk where to ask this question but my elgato boom arm LP started drifting all of a sudden, and its annoying. What can i do to make it stop and why is it all of a sudden started doing that? It started after I positioned it to another part of my desk but it didn't work out so i put another spot then started drifting ever since.

There’s a newer version that fixes this, and it’s the Mic Arm Pro

Could just be Wave Arm LP too. If it is and it's drifting loosen and then retighten the bolt, that should generally fix it. Loosening it first will help move things around so any spot that is loose gets out of the way when you clamp it down again, in my experience.

If it's drifting horizontally there's a adjustment in the clamps that needs to be tightened with an allen key

If you're an affiliate I suggest doing 6000kbps on video and 512kbps on two tracks for audio, best quality without making twitch dislike you ^^

It's a good start, but desktops with Thunderbolt is rare, imagine something all creators could use, basically extensions to your tower with KVM etc ^^

True. I think the goal is for all computers to have Thunderbolt support eventually. It is just taking so long...

Hello Everyone. A perhaps stupid question, but a few months ago I saw that there would be a "free" version for iOS of the mobile, which in this case I thought would be the Pro version, but in this case it's just the 6-button version for free, just like Android, isn't that right?

It's just the 6 buttons free, yes. iOS had that before Android acutally as it came with Version 2 of the app

If you want more buttons you basically buy a subscription or lifetime license from within the app.

There are skins you can buy, or even design yourself, like a wrap on websites, there's several of them, so a MK.2 plus your own custom wrap would be VERY cute

Not that I condone that, but usually some people snatch them up and put em on like ebay.. if you really really want one, unless Elgato restocks them like they did with the Fallout Collection but it was very very few extra units they could get, so far noone has said anything about restocks

But it's annoying that the billingadress doesn't match even though it did, I think that's all on the paymentservice and nothing Elgato can do anything about
