I feel like this skill would just be nicer overall. Once you get back from a big farm trip it takes so long for all the ores collected to smelt, and this change fits in well with the other skills like electrician

I think with the skill it becomes too easy where the small furnace can suffice thru an entire wipe. The vanilla limits encourage use of large furnace and electric furnace

i just feel like electric furnace gets extremely overshadowed by large furnaces, so maybe making the skill only effect the better furnaces, such as the large or electric furnaces, but also make the price higher to balance it out

From my perspective I see electric furnace getting used widespread. What I noticed is when progression speed is boosted, players also get burnt out quicker. You achive everything faster. Also kind of acts as a control method for builds etc. Also most of the quick smelt plugins are glitchy and cant get exactly "2x" speed with them ever since the Furnace UI update a few months back. It goes so rapid it isnt even smelting anymore may as well jus call it a resource exchange lol
