Gun game used to be tdm instead of ffa when it launched
The problem was that the win criteria (if I'm recalling correctly) was one person on either team getting two kills with the last weapon. So most of the other players on each team never got very far into the weapons because only one guy would be getting all the kills

Exactly but spawns were not a death trap as they are now. And it was easier to knife the first of enemy team to lower it's score

If people really prefer the tdm version then I have a different suggestion. I played Hired Ops for a bit and they have a tdm gun game. The number of kills needed for each gun is higher but the whole team's kills contributes towards the count, and the whole team progresses once the kills are reached. So each player can feel more involvement in the game and experience more of the weapons. How does that sound?

More spawnpoints or TDM but I don't think they can make the whole map spawnable and have in condition "no enemy already in sight" :/

Yea it's like escalation, when your team need to get certain amount of kill to use the next weapon

you need spawnpoints. depending on the one that is furthes away from enemies you gonna spawn there. those are fixed markers on the map. but some like tower and dam dont have enough or none around the map. they just need to increase that and it would be immensely better

if they ever decide to return the gungame tdm mode i want it as it first came,when you get knifed to be punished with 2 levels or 2 points as it was . It was more fun that way . Otherwise i like the ffa and i liked the tdm too . I'm a knife enjoyer

i remember when we had gungame mod here there was alot of people just running aroun with knives, if wiple do smth about that like not awarding them with 2 point on gungame and progressing it would be interesting
gungame was one of my favourite mods aswell untill i played vs 5 knifers running around with assassin and maraton perks

knife running was annoying for many so they got rid of the +2 with the knife....
perks didnt matter in gungame. you had none....
